How do i dye a lilac satin jacket navy? what sort of dye do i use?

Becareful due to it being satin %26quot;If it is silk satin, it%26#039;s easy to dye (use an acid dye). If it%26#039;s cotton satin, it%26#039;s also fine to dye so long as there%26#039;s no more than 10 percent spandex/lycra in it. However, if (like most) it%26#039;s polyester, I wouldn%26#039;t bother! There%26#039;s a type of dye you can use with polyester satin but you have to boil it with the cloth for an hour - which is likely to shrink your jacket. You can get dye that works in your washing machine - called DYLON. In loads of colours (at Woolworths %26amp; John Lewis). You just need the box of dye %26amp; a bag of salt. Follow instructions carefully, washing machine fine afterwards (your clothes won%26#039;t all be navy).
Reply:you can go to a craft store and they should have a dye kit for that. if you can%26#039;t find any ask some one that works there if they know of any good dyes you can use.
