its ground up barney, thank god,,i hated that bloody dinosaur..

Someone has put a lilac powder in my petrol tank and my car has now broke down, what is it?
Lilac powder? Is that a body talc? Well either way, your filter sock at the sending unit is now most likely plugged, your fuel filter after the sending unit is plugged, and the fuel tank is contaminated and will need cleaned thoroughly. The fuel lines cleaned out from the tank to the injectors, and if you get really lucky, your injectors will not have to be replaced. Who did you tick off?
Reply:how and why and what were they doing in your petrol tank? that might help distinguish what it was!!!! is it soap powder?
Reply:You%26#039;ve upset someone then,

obviously lol .....
Reply:not sure but I have heard of people putting all sorts in the petrol tank, from sugar, used cooking oil to fizzy drinks!!

Don%26#039;t run the engine, if you do, the pipes that carry the fuel to the cylinder head, injectors, valves etc will get damaged and it will cost loads to repair. There is a fuel filter on the car so that may get clogged and the car will stall so don%26#039;t worry too much. You will need to flush the tank or maybe replace it (fuel pump in the tank) along with the fuel filter. Not a big job.
Reply:it%26#039;s a powder that is lilac in colour
Reply:Could be powdered soap or maybe even a body powder.... maybe chalk.....
Reply:Should have a locking petrol cap!
Reply:wan*ers!
Reply:If the powder is sugar based it will kill the alcohol in the petrol as well as block the fuel system , you will need to have the whole system cleaned out , somebody does not like you very much , its an old trick from way back
Reply:that what ever that was put into your fuel tank, has worked it%26#039;s way into your fuel pump, and started to plug o lot of the fuel filter screens, fuel filters.

You are going to need to drop the fuel tank, thurroly clean it out, replace ALL fuel filters, clean out the pump, and once expose every ting to fresh fuel
Reply:Lilac powder is also used in candle making as a fragrance...It could be a cube too...
Reply:How do you know the power is lilac coloured, or for that matter powder, if it%26#039;s in your gas tank?

Did it fail to start straightaway / very quickly, or after you drove it for a while? If it%26#039;s the former, the only thing I can think it%26#039;d be is detergent. There are plenty other things that would screw up your car, but most wouldn%26#039;t kill it immediately unless you had an almost empty tank, they%26#039;d take a little while to work thru your fuel system. Detergent is %26#039;wetter%26#039; than petrol (and water, that%26#039;s why it cleans stuff) so it%26#039;d actually be absorbed by the petrol, and consequently would work its way thru your fuel system very quickly. If you have residue about, take a tiny bit and put it on your tongue, see if it tastes soapy.

Also, what ponyboy said.
Reply:its actually honey...judas iscariot was a most skillful beekeeper, and his honey renownd for its powdery, lilac qualities....
