Orchids come in both of those colors. Also look into roses as now you can find them in just about every color. Also peonies, tulips and many types of lilies(there are some nice purple callas). I chose all orchids for my bouquet and my colors are similar- lavender/white.
Also, here are some websites to get some ideas. There are tons more sites out there if you want to take the time to look. I know that I spent many days looking at sites and pics before I knew what I wanted. And as for garland, Ivy goes well with most everything. You could also use vine for garland and also mini lights.
