I got a 5 lilac. how far do i plant them apart? i'm putting them in a row?

I got a 5 lilac. how far do i plant them apart? i%26#039;m putting them in a row?
They can get huge. They%26#039;d appreciate much space. More than 8 feet.
Reply:i planted ours 8 feet apart about35 years ago its almost a solid wall of lilacs now . they are beautiful when they bloom.i have all different colors.sorry i meant 25 years ago too lazy to change it ha
Reply:It would depend on what type and size of lilac you have. If you have the average lilac bush/tree and you want to use them as a wall you would plant them 3 to 4 feet apart. If you want them to remain seperate 6 feet would be the best.
Reply:If planted as a screen or hedge, you can put them as close as six feet apart, otherwise leave 12 to 15 feet between plants to allow for unrestricted growth.
